I mentioned earlier that I was given some time off, but did not know how to spend it since I am usually a person who likes to be busy. Travelling was not an option as it was beautiful at home and I wanted to take advantage of the abundant sunshine. Usually what I did everyday may seem boring but to me, reading trashy gossip magazines out in the sun was my idea of perfection. The problem was, I needed to be comfortable and I needed to be protected from the millions of spiders, bees, ants and flies out taking in the sunshine as well. The Yucca Outdoor Lounge Chair and Jerra Corner Sectional Sofa looks like a reader’s best friend as it is flexible for whatever positions you assume when reading. But next was the trickier part; I wanted to bask in sunlight but not get pelted by gross insects. After some quick research, I found out that there are a number of natural remedies out there but there was no consistent answer. Vinegar seems to be a key ingredient in all of them, but the others ranged from chili flakes, coconut oil, clover and hairspray. From ehow.com, you can use a variety of oils such as lavender, peppermint, and cinnamon and spray these oils on cobwebs and outdoors in general. I still have yet to try the repellant, but I think it is interesting how you don’t need fancy chemicals to keep some bugs away. Nevertheless, my time off proved to be educational in many respects—not typical, but still relaxing!

What to do in your time off (Part Two)
